Myst Online Going Dark – Trouble for Cyan?

Myst Online ran via GameTap through Spokane’s own Cyan Worlds is going dark in 60 days according to a post from Ricardo Sanchez, the VP of Content and Creative Director for GameTap. Cyan World’s founded by Robyn and Rand Miller, and made a name in the video game industry when in 1993 they launched the surreal and beautiful puzzle adventure Myst, pushing Cyan Worlds into the forefront of game development at the time. Rumors abound over the fate of the company these days as the last few titles have fallen sorta flat and received mediocre reviews for the most part industry rumors have been painting a bleak picture for the struggling company we hope they are able to recover.
