SWAYZE

This sticker popped up on a One Way sign in downtown Seattle. (2nd and Stewart to be exact.) Thought it was swell.

First SubPar, now Inglorio.us
April 3, 2009
I have started yet another blog. Found at Inlgorio.us the blog will focus on game UI and UX. There’s a ton of game blogs on the internet, however, yet there isn’t any that focus strictly on the UI and UX aspects of a game.
It’s always a focus on major apps, but why not games? In seeing this void I decided to step into the light, roll up my sleeves and start the dialog. However a dialog cannot exist if it’s merely one-sided. So please, hit it up, check it out, and let me know what you think.
Thanks!

Wines of Substance
September 29, 2008
Lots of wine posts lately but I couldn’t pass up the chance to share this piece from the Dieline. This crisp modern look is from Wines of Substance of Walla Walla. Their website is also quite a treat and completes the “elemental” look of this product. I can’t wait to get my hands on a bottle and see if what’s inside is as good as what’s outside.

Photographer Jason Lee has a wonderful set of photos featuring his two daughters up on Flickr. You definitely need to check it out.
Websites for Big Monitors
September 16, 2008
Web Designer Wall has a cool post listing 80 websites designed with today’s large monitor sizes in mind. While many people are happy with 19 to 22-inch monitors others are using 30-inch and larger monitors that kill the backgrounds on conventional websites. The designers of these site have gone out of their way to provide an aesthetically pleasing experience on any monitor size.
Web design can be quite challenging for those used to designing for print. These sites prove design doesn’t have to suffer in the maddening world of different resolutions, browsers, monitor sizes and rendering standards.
Elk & Wolf Chardonnay
September 12, 2008
Make it two in a row from The Dieline. These Elk & Wolf bottles are just too beautiful to ignore. Using a brushed aluminum wine bottle Social UK was able to create something truly out of the ordinary. You can imagine how these would stand out on a wall of dark glass bottles with various color labels.
